Jim Fidler founded Fidler
Consulting eight years ago
with the goal in mind to
help small and mid-size
publishers maximize the
power of the internet while
still maintaining control
over the data collection and
content management
processes, which so often
get lost in a migration to
the web. His timing was
ideal: in the late 90s,
publishing was in the throes
of an internet revolution,
with many directory and
buyers guide publisher
facing the challenge head-on
and taking a leap to the
web. Jim was there to help
various publishers from all
industries make the
transition. And, years
later, he now is equipped
with hands-on experience to
work with the next publisher
client to make the leap.
Before starting Fidler Consulting, Jim
spent over a decade in database publishing with such entrepreneurial
companies as Phillips Business Information and the Management
Information Company (MIC).
Jim has a team of
consultant and programmers that bring over 30 years of expertise and flexibility to each
project they do.
Why Fidler
Consulting?
The publishing world is bombarded with solutions for managing content
online. But you typically are responsible for implementing these
solutions yourself, which can consume endless hours of staff time and
result in hair-pulling hassle.
Jim Fidler and his team have over two
decades of expertise in the electronic data management for publishers.
Armed with this know-how, Fidler Consulting can offer you the following
benefits that many of other players cannot:
-
Go with the total solutions provider:
Fidler Consulting is among the few that can provide
the end-to-end expertise in the electronic publishing arena to give
you the total solution you need. Whether it be your front-end,
online presence, or your back-office content migration and
management, Fidler Consulting works with you to tailor a solution to
fit your needs, your timeline, and your budget.
-
Free your staff up to concentrate on
other business issues: Equipped with industry
expertise and an ongoing commitment to its clients, Fidler
Consulting completes projects at a much faster pace – and at a less
expensive rate – than in-house resources.
-
Save costs by streamlining operations:
Fidler Consulting customizes each of its clients’ individual
solutions. Therefore, clients can concentrate on those areas in
their content management process that result in the highest costs,
and Fidler Consulting will strive to retool the process to be more
efficient and lower in manpower and capital costs.
-
Trust in a team that is accessible and
responsive: Fidler Consulting commits itself to being
there for its clients when they are in need. No worries about
calling and being on-hold for hours, or getting lost in a voice mail
maze trying to leave an SOS call. When you call, Fidler Consulting
answers. Fast.
-
Build your site now, with long-term
growth in mind: Fidler Consulting ensures that the
web solutions it develops provide clients with the functionality
they need today, yet are scalable to support and promote the
long-term growth they envision. Try to find that in an off-the-shelf
solution.
-
Develop new, revenue-generating
products: Often Fidler Consulting embarks on a
project to save its clients money, and then finds a way to create
new products from existing content or from a retooling of the
content management process. So its clients have a two-fold win:
lower costs and a new product to generate additional sales.
-
Improve traffic to existing site:
Fidler Consulting can improve your site’s structure in a number of
ways. One common way is to increase the functionality and usability
of your site. By doing this, your customers are encouraged to come
to your site and interact on your site, thus increasing traffic.
Another way that Fidler Consulting can help you to improve your site
traffic is by improving your SEO by restructuring architecture of
your site so that it is more readily seen by key search engines.
